City of Kawartha Lakes Lawyers Form New Collaborative Practice Group for Divorcing Couples

Kawartha Haliburton Collaborative Practice is an association of Family Law Counsel, Financial Professionals, Mental Health Professionals and Mediators who work together to highlight and promote the benefits of the Collaborative Process.

The goals of the Kawartha Haliburton Collaborative Practice are to assist divorcing/ common-law spouses and other couples work towards a mutually fair and equitable end to their relationship without the acrimony, anxiety and financial cost that often accompanies litigation, and to protect the integrity and health of family relationships. Collaborative Practice Group Coming to Lindsay

On January 17, 2013, Russell and Aleksandra will be joining a group of lawyers and other professionals from the City of Kawartha Lakes to discuss the formation of a new Collaborative Practice Group in this area. The Working Group will be discussing how to best provide Collaborative services to clients from Lindsay and surrounding area who are going through separation or divorce.

Russell and Wendy are already members of Collaborative Practice Durham, and Aleksandra recently completed Stage 1 of her training and will be joining Collaborative Practice Durham this month.

Aleksandra Czyzowska Pursues Collaborative Practice Training

Associate lawyer Aleksandra will be completing phase 1 of her Collaborative Practice training with the Victoria Haliburton Bar Association in Lindsay, Ontario.

Russell and Wendy are already fully trained Collaborative Practice family lawyers.

Collaborative Practice, including Collaborative Law and interdisciplinary Collaborative Divorce, is a way for you to resolve disputes respectfully — without going to court — while working with trained professionals who are important to all areas of your life. The term incorporates all of the models developed since Minnesota lawyer Stu Webb created Collaborative Law ideas in the 1980s.
