Law Student
My name is Joseph Cugini, and I am a Law Student at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers. My primary responsibilities include assisting with client intake, preparing drafts of correspondence, financial statements, affidavits, orders, pleadings, and other legal documents, as well as liaising with counsel, clients, courts, process servers, and other third parties.
As of September 2022, I will be entering my third year of law school at Queen’s University. This past academic year, I was fortunate to have served as a student representative on the Law Student’s Society Faculty Board Curriculum Committee. During my first year of law school, I finished in the top 15% of my class in Contracts and Torts, while in my second year, I finished in the top 15% of my class in Wills and Estates. I graduated with Distinction from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University in 2020, where I received a Bachelor of Commerce in Real Estate Management with a minor in Politics. What I love most about studying and working in the legal field is that it is constantly evolving, so there is always something new to learn, and with that, it keeps you on your toes.
I enjoy watching movies, especially comedies, football (no, not soccer), and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs outside the classroom and the office. When I am not surrounding myself with textbooks, you will find me on a ski hill or playing pick-up hockey with friends at the rink.
