Articling Student

I am thrilled to begin my legal career as an Articling Student at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers. My passion for family law stems from a desire to help families navigate difficult times with sensitivity and care. I firmly believe that having a compassionate and patient advocate can make all the difference during this emotional and highly stressful process.

I am a graduate from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) and Queen’s University Faculty of Law. My educational background in commerce has provided me with a solid foundation in negotiation, analytical reasoning and critical thinking, skills that I believe will be invaluable in my work as a family lawyer. I have further honed my legal writing and research skills in law school, allowing me to provide clients with comprehensive and well-reasoned advice. In addition, I had the valuable opportunity to gain practical experience through the Family and Children Law Placement course overseen by Professor Nicholas Bala. This immersive program provided me with hands-on experience working directly with families and children within the legal system that deepened my understanding of the complexities involved in family law matters and further fuelled my passion for advocating on behalf of families. I am confident that my diverse educational background and legal training will allow me to provide effective legal guidance to clients in all aspects of family law.

One of the most important traits a family lawyer can possess is strong interpersonal skills. This includes the ability to listen actively, communicate clearly, and empathize with clients. I believe that my friendly and approachable demeanour allows clients to feel comfortable discussing their personal and emotional matters with me. I am committed to building a strong rapport with my clients to ensure that they feel supported and heard throughout the legal process.

In addition to my legal pursuits, I am a dedicated sports fan and enjoy cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the LA Rams. I also love to play hockey and watch comedy movies in my spare time. Overall, I am excited to embark on this new chapter in my career and look forward to advocating for and supporting families during what can be a difficult time in their lives.
