Nicole Is Back For Another Summer!

Nicole is returning as our summer student working reception in our Brooklin office this year and will be our clients’ first contact. She has graduated from the University of Guelph, and will be attending Post-Graduate studies at Seneca in the fall.

This is her third summer with the firm and she is keen to help clients with any inquiries they may have. Nicole loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading and outdoor sports.

Our Lindsay Office Is Getting a Facelift

We built our Lindsay office 13 years ago in 2000 and now it’s time for a facelift.

New kitchen, artwork, lighting, updated furnishings and fresh paint are planned. Design and consulting services are being provided by Linda Bradley and Benson Plumbing will redoing the kitchen area. Thanks for all your help Linda and Scott.… more »

Aleksandra Set To Complete Her Level II Collaborative Practice Training

This June, associate lawyer Aleksandra will be completing Level II of the Collaborative Practice Training in Toronto. This training supplements the Level I training that all lawyers wishing to practice Collaboratively must complete. The training will focus on further developing expertise in interest based negotiations, client assessment and suitability, managing client expectations, strengthening communications tools and managing a Collaborative Practice case.

City of Kawartha Lakes Lawyers Form New Collaborative Practice Group for Divorcing Couples

Kawartha Haliburton Collaborative Practice is an association of Family Law Counsel, Financial Professionals, Mental Health Professionals and Mediators who work together to highlight and promote the benefits of the Collaborative Process.

The goals of the Kawartha Haliburton Collaborative Practice are to assist divorcing/ common-law spouses and other couples work towards a mutually fair and equitable end to their relationship without the acrimony, anxiety and financial cost that often accompanies litigation, and to protect the integrity and health of family relationships.
