Russell Alexander Law Firm Pledges Funds to Purchase Toys for Ontario Non-Profit

Family law firm will donate to Oshawa group that works with children in need

Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers is working to support an annual holiday toy drive, for the fourth consecutive year, to benefit an Ontario non-profit that works with children in need. The legal team has pledged to take $100 of its initial consultation fees booked between December 1 to December 14 and use the funds to purchase toys for Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa, a non-profit started in 1935 that runs a food bank and programs to serve school-aged children and seniors.

“As a family law firm, we work with a lot of parents of young children, and we understand the importance for children to be well-cared for and loved,” said founder Russell Alexander. “We know many children around the holidays go without, and the pandemic hasn’t made things any easier. We want to try and help this season be as bright as it can be for them.”

Since starting in 2018, the Simcoe Hall Settlement House toy drive has also helped charities in the Durham Region and the city of Kawartha Lakes with the support of local businesses such as Russell Alexander’s.

“The toy drive has become a tradition at our firm and we are thrilled to support it again this holiday season,” added Alexander. “We hope to make this year’s pledge a successful one.”
