Articling Student
I am an articling student at RIA, and I am excited to be part of this team. During my time here, I have gained valuable experience working on various collaborative and litigation files.
I graduated from Queen’s University, Faculty of Law, in spring 2024, where I received the Faculty of Law Dean’s Council Diversity Award for my work with the Black Law Student’s Association (BLSA) Queen’s Chapter, as well as the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin Mooting Award for my participation in the Julius Alexander Isaac Moot.
My advocacy skills were further developed through the experiential learning program at Queen’s Law, where I completed placements at Neighbourhood Legal Services and Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington. These experiences taught me to approach complex legal issues with empathy and a clear perspective.
As I prepare to begin my legal career, I am focused on improving client outcomes. I want clients to feel supported and well informed of their options to move their matter through the legal process.
In my free time, I enjoy exploring new activities, with my latest interest being ultimate frisbee. I look forward to continuing my professional development and contributing to the success of our team at RIA.
