Managing Senior Law Clerk
(905) 655-7377
ILCO Certified Expert in Family Law
I enjoy acting as the Managing Law Clerk for the firm and working directly with our team of Law Clerks. I take a caring, client-focused approach to assist clients through every aspect of their case. I know that these matters can be stressful, so when I am assigned as the clerk on a file, I work with the client directly. I work with each individual to prepare Court pleadings, financial statements, net family property statements, support calculations, and report to the client throughout the file. I take the time to listen to my clients’ concerns and explain the Court process. I also act as a liaison between clients and their lawyers.
I graduated from Seneca College in 1984 and have experience in all aspects of family law. My experience in my previous role as an Administrative Assistant at the Office of the Chief of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Osgoode Hall was incredibly valuable, and I bring that experience and knowledge to Russell Alexander clients. I am recognized as an expert in Family Law with the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario. I retired in December 2021, after teaching Family Law to Law Clerk students for 10 years at Durham College in the Faculty of Justice and Emergency Services.
Giving back has always been important to me. I enjoy participating in various fundraising events for Toronto Sick Children’s Hospital Foundation, MS and breast cancer research. When I am not at the firm, or at a fundraiser, I enjoy spending time with my family and in particular my granddaughter, and traveling.
Russell Alexander encourages me to advance my career and fosters a team environment at the firm. I feel that this encouragement and team-based environment ultimately benefits our clients.
