Save A Slice

Slice Count!

(as of July 30, 2020)

2450 slices delivered.

Our team at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers are excited to launch the “Save A Slice” initiative in support of our doctors, nurses and support staff at our local hospitals as well as local restaurants.

We hope that other local law firms and businesses will get on board and support their fellow business owners. Use the hashtag #SaveASlice to show your support.

Save a Slice in Markham

Our latest round of Save a Slice found us supporting doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers at the Markham Stouffville Hospital on July 30 with delicious food from Druxy’s Famous Deli.

Druxy’s prepared 240 sandwich “slices” in a mouth-watering array of flavours, from standards like turkey, tuna, roast beef and chicken to new favourites such as smoked meat, chicken shawarma, falafel and veggie & hummus. This brings the grand total of servings donated through our program to 2450!

This edition of Save-a-Slice was made possible by lawyers Russell Alexander, Carrie Heinzl and Jarret Johnston. The trio donated their fees from a professional development program they recently co-presented as a show of gratitude to the healthcare staff who have been there for Ontarians throughout the pandemic.

Save a Slice in Peterborough

During our latest Save a Slice installment, we brought pizza to our healthcare heroes in Peterborough.

We ordered close to 100 individual-sized pizzas from Night Kitchen, who delivered them to the ER department at Peterborough Regional Health Centre.

With the COVID-19 pandemic now in its second month, we are appreciative of all the hard work that our nurses, doctors and other medical professionals on the front line are doing every day.

Save a Slice in Toronto

April 18 and 19, 2020 was our third weekend of supporting frontline healthcare workers and local business during the coronavirus pandemic.

We arranged for 50 pizzas from North of Brooklyn Pizzeria to be delivered to Toronto General Hospital over two shifts.

Save a Slice in Durham Region

After the success of our first “Save a Slice” initiative for Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, our firm held a second event to support frontline healthcare workers at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa over the Easter weekend in April 2020.

Thanks to Brothers Ristorante in Whitby and to our process server Bob who delivered the 50 pizzas in three shifts to make sure everyone could have a slice. Most importantly, thanks to the hardworking doctors, nurses and all healthcare staff on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Save a Slice in Lindsay, Ontario

We are sending 50 pizzas prepared by local restaurant Pane Vino to Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario. The pizzas will be delivered in three shifts so that everyone on staff will be able to enjoy a slice of pizza or two.

We are open and our team is available to serve new and existing clients.
