Suzanne Elcock is an associate lawyer at Russell Alexander Family Lawyers. She practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, custody, access, property division and child and spousal support. Suzanne is a dedicated advocate who assists clients in transition by concluding negotiated agreements and representing them in family court. She is committed to providing personalized, client-focused solutions to legal problems.
Suzanne was called to the bar in Ontario in 2013 after graduation from Osgoode Hall Law School. She holds an Honours B.A. in Political Economy from York University, a Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from York University and a Law Clerk Diploma from Humber College. Before joining Russell Alexander Family Lawyers, Suzanne practiced family and criminal law in Ajax.
After a career as a Law Clerk, Suzanne began her legal career with a view to promoting social justice through the practice of law. During law school, Suzanne held executive positions with the Black Law Students of Canada and its Osgoode chapter. She was a student volunteer with the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme, a free legal clinic for clients who would otherwise be unable to secure legal representation. Suzanne also volunteered for two years with the Family Law Project where she assisted self-represented litigants in family court.
Suzanne was raised in Toronto and has two children. When she is not practicing law, she enjoys cooking, listening to music and spending time with family and friends. She is thrilled to join the dedicated team of family law professionals at Russell Alexander Family Lawyers.
