Associate Lawyer
I am a dedicated litigator with a focus on helping clients navigate the complexities of conflict resolution, both in and out of the courtroom. My experiences include advocacy in criminal defense, civil litigation, and commercial disputes, lending me unique insights into the intricate crossovers between various fields of law that arise in family law. I am comfortable in the court room, having been called a “natural born litigator,” by a seasoned mentor early in my career. I take pride in my ability to advocate fiercely and effectively while maintaining an honest and realistic approach to advising my clients. My commitment is to ensure that my clients feel supported and empowered throughout the legal process.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) from Nipissing University (2017), where I graduated with high distinction. I earned my Master’s Degree from Nipissing University (2019), where I was awarded the President’s Gold Medalist for highest academic standing and received recognition from the Canadian Sociological Association for academic, research, and community commitments. I earned my Juris Doctor from Queen’s University (2022), where I graduated on the Dean’s Honours List. At Queen’s, I served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Queen’s Law Journal, a prominent legal research publication, and worked as a Case Worker with the Prison Law Clinic, assisting inmates at Collins Bay Medium and Maximum Security. My advocacy skills were tested when I represented Queen’s in the 2022 Ontario Trial Lawyers Association Cup Moot, where my partner and I won overall, and I received accolades for Best Closing Arguments.
I began my legal practice at one of the largest full-service law firms in Kingston as a general litigator, and I have since remained committed to serving the East Region community. I continue to reside in Kingston with my spouse and our Dachshund. Outside of work, I am a proud martial artist and have been training for most of my life, I enjoy progressive metal music, and regularly read autobiographies.
