Team of lawyers outlines legal rulings that set parameters

LINDSAY, Ontario—Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers warned that the upcoming coronavirus vaccines could lead to disputes among divorced parents over whether each caregiver and the child are vaccinated.

“The coronavirus pandemic has introduced a lot of complications to parenting agreements, and we should expect something similar as the Covid-19 vaccine is rolled out,” said founder Russell Alexander. “In this case, there is a lot more guidance that we can rely on, however.”

Russell Alexander Law Firm Expands as Coronavirus Divorces Loom, Adding Four Lawyers in Concord

LINDSAY, Ontario—Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers announced that it is expanding, hiring four more lawyers to work in a new location in Concord, as divorce rates spike due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Lindsay-based firm has hired:

• Bill Rogers, a Queen’s University law graduate and longtime family law attorney who won a major victory in the Ontario Court of Appeal in 2014;

• Rick Peticca, a York University law graduate who has argued at all levels of court in Ontario, including the Supreme Court of Canada, in his 13 years practicing family law;

Russell Alexander Sponsors Local Holiday Decorating Contest, Light Up Lindsay, To Help Spread the Christmas Cheer

Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers is a proud sponsor of Light Up Lindsay. This program encourages residents in the town of Lindsay to get festive and deck out their homes or businesses with the best holiday decor.

There are three different categories to enter for the holiday decorations; ‘The Original Christmas Story’, ‘Seasonal Decorations’, and ‘Business Christmas Decorating’. In addition to ultimate bragging rights, participants have the opportunity to win up to $1000 in each category.

The winners will be announced on Thursday, December 31st at the Drive-Thru Merry & Bright Fireworks celebration at the Lindsay Exhibition.

Russell Alexander’s Third Annual Toy Drive a Huge Success

Here at Russell Alexander Collaborative Family Lawyers, we held our third annual holiday toy drive through December 10, but virtually this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This year, the toy drive supported Simcoe Hall Settlement House in Oshawa, a nonprofit started in 1935 that runs a food bank and programs to serve school-aged children and seniors.

Our team pledged to take 50 percent of initial consultation fees booked between November 10 and December 10 and use the funds to purchase toys online.

On December 14, Russ delivered several hundred toys to the Settlement House to help make the holidays … more »
