Gabrielle has been working in the legal field for 20 years and with Russell Alexander for close to 15 years. Working as a law clerk at the Lindsay and Brooklin offices, she assists in all areas of family law, and in particular with Family Court proceedings. She meets with clients to discuss various aspects of their matters and prepares court pleadings and financial statements. Gabrielle has a first-rate knowledge of the Family Law Rules and court filing procedures, and helps clients understand what they can expect throughout the process.
Gabrielle attended Western and Trent Universities and has an Honours Degree in English Literature, as well as a Diploma in Legal Administration from Sir Sandford Fleming College. Prior to joining Russell Alexander Family Lawyers, she worked with a sole practitioner in Peterborough doing municipal law and spent several years in the hospitality industry as a restaurant manager. Gabrielle enjoys the fast pace of family law and the fact that the work is rarely boring. She thrives on healthy debate and enjoys being able to put her writing skills to work.
Gabrielle has previously lived in the UK and the United States, and has travelled extensively with her husband to countries such as Scotland, Sweden and Denmark. For nearly 30 years, she has been involved with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA Inc.), a 30,000-member international organization dedicated to researching and recreating the arts and skills of medieval Europe. She has also served as a Director and Vice-Chairman of the SCA. Gabrielle enjoys working at Russell Alexander Family Lawyers, as the firm allows her the flexibility to spend time with her friends and family.
