Darla has been with the Russell Alexander team for four years and works as a law clerk at the Brooklin and Markham offices. Darla takes a caring, client-focused approach to assisting clients through every aspect of their case. When Darla is assigned as the clerk on a file, she works with the client directly to prepare court pleadings and reports throughout the file. Darla takes the time to listen to clients’ concerns and helps them understand the court process. Darla also acts as a liaison between clients and their lawyer. As the firm’s Marketing Coordinator, she is involved in managing the Russell I. Alexander Giving Fund, and played a key role in the Fund’s inception.
Darla has nearly 30 years’ experience in all aspects of family law, having graduated from Seneca College in 1984. She especially values the wisdom and experience she gained in her previous role as an assistant at the Office of the Chief Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Osgoode Hall. She is a member of the Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario.
Darla enjoys travelling, spending time with her family and friends, and participating in various fundraising events for MS and breast cancer research. Darla appreciates that Russell encourages the development of her career and fosters a team environment at the firm, and feels that this ultimately benefits clients.
