In 2009 we started
the Russell I. Alexander Giving Fund.
The Russell I. Alexander
Giving Fund is currently providing an annual grant of up to $5,000.00.
Funds will be allocated each year in December.
Since 2009, the family
law firm of Russell I. Alexander, has formalized its community giving
through the Russell I. Alexander Giving Fund. Established as a means
to help non-profit organizations located mainly in Durham Region and
City of Kawartha Lakes, the Fund awards up to $5,000.00 per year, payable
to qualified Applicants.

The Guidelines are
available on our website www.russellalexander.com. “We are looking
for local organizations and individuals to support that have an important
mission, but may not have the visibility and resources of some of the
larger charities …. We try to choose groups that we believe have
a good track record of success, and also can use the dollars to implement
meaningful outreach efforts ….”
The Giving Fund supports
programs in the areas of community development, arts and culture, sports,
education, and health and human services. The guidelines for grants
are posted on the firm’s website, and applicants must send in
their requests for grants no later than July 31, 2011.
Previous Giving Fund
recipients include Covenant House, Lindsay Hockey Association, operating
as Lindsay Lynx and Lindsay Muskies.
